Yerevan Nairi Cinema is considered as the oldest cinema in Yerevan city. In 1920-50s it was located on Amiryan Street. In 1952 they moved to corner of Mashtots Avenue and Isahakyan Street in a new building constructed by Alexander Tamanyan’s project.

The first ever produced Soviet-Armenian movie Zaré was shown in the cinema in 1926. This cinema consists of two movie halls.
